QUESTION

ANSWER

What is the Green Charge Card?

The Green Charge Card is the entry point Charge product offering in our market and is known world-wide as the best Card for meeting the travel and entertainment needs of financially responsible customers who desire recognition, security and quality customer service. The Green Charge Card has a range of benefits, which include Lost Card Protection and budget facilities to allow the Charge Card member to spread repayments on huge transactions over a period of 6 to 24 months.

Is there a limit on my Green Charge Card?

The Green Charge Card is a Charge Card that has no preset spending limit. In effect, you set your own limit by your ongoing spend patterns and your ability to repay the full outstanding balance each month. In order to protect you from the fraudulent use of your Card, a special authorisation may be required when the amount of the transaction demands this. In these cases, the Merchant will telephone us and we will promptly deal with your transaction.

Can I withdraw cash on my Green Charge Card?

Local Cash Withdrawals You can withdraw cash locally at any Cashpoint ATM or in any Nedbank branch. In order to withdraw cash you need to encode your Card with a PIN at any Nedbank branch.

Emergency Cash Your Card entitles you to emergency cash when overseas. Present your Card at any American Express Travel or Foreign Exchange Office and you can withdraw up to $1000 per billing cycle.

Is there a budget facility on the Green Charge Card?

Your Card offers a budget facility that allows you to spread the repayments on those larger than usual transactions over a period of 6 to 24 months. If you wish to make use of the budget facility on larger purchases, just ask when presenting your Card for payment.

How can I pay my Green Charge Card?

For your added convenience, an Automatic Payment Order may be set up for your account to be paid automatically every month. Alternately, you may send us a cheque, pay at any Nedbank branch or via electronic funds transfer.

Electronic Account Payments

* Existing Nedbank or Permanent Bank Clients:

This Service may be arranged through your branch.

You are able to obtain your balance and a list of the last twenty transactions on your Green Charge Card by obtaining an Electronic banking profile from your Nedbank or Permanent Bank branch. Your Green Charge Card can then be linked to your Profile and you can view your balance and most recent transactions either via the Internet or Self Service Terminals.

You are also able to transfer money from a Nedbank or Permanent Bank account to your Green Charge Card to pay your balance.

* Non Nedbank or Permanent Bank Clients:

If you would like to pay your Green Charge Card account via the internet, you can set up your Green Charge Card as an Account Payment with your own bank.

Unfortunately at this time, payments cannot be made from your Green Charge Card to third party beneficiaries or to any other account unless these are set up as a debit order.

How can I query or dispute a transaction on my Green Charge Card?

Dispute resolution is offered only by Green Charge Card. When a legitimate dispute arises the item being questioned is set aside and the Cardmember pays the balance of the account. Finance charges are not raised on items American Express agrees to place on dispute.

What should I do if I lose my Green Charge Card?

In the event of your Card being lost or stolen, report it immediately by calling 0800 110 929. You will not be held liable for any transactions arising thereafter. Lost Card Protection is optional and is available at a cost of R39.00 including VAT.
